Alto Adige Festival 2010: Mahler – Kontraste – Belcanto

The Gustav Mahler Music Weeks take place in the Grand Hotel Toblach / Dobbiaco every summer. But not only…: the new music festival “Alto Adige Festival – Mahler Kontraste Belcanto” is on the program from 17th till 26th September 2010. Gustav Kuhn and Andreas Schett are going to lead the concerts of the “Haydn Orchestra” of Bolzano and Trento.

If you like classical music, you have to visit this festival!

Plum excursion in Barbiano / Barbian

An excursion of plums takes place in Barbiano / Barbian in Valle Isarco / Eisacktal on 7th and 14th September 2010. This day the plum is centric of all fruits.

13th Südtirol Three Peaks Alpin Run

Are you ready for the 13th Südtirol Three Peaks Alpin Run in Sesto / Sexten?
On Sunday, 12th September 2010 ca. 1.000 participants will start for this popular race. Also this year the start is near to “Haus Sexten”. They run to the centre of Sesto and then back to the starting place. From there the course is going along the “Val Fiscalina” till the “Rifugio Fondovalle” (Talschlusshütte). With a lot of power they run uphill until the “Rifugio Locatelli” (Drei Zinnen Hütte). After 17,5 km and a height differential of 1.350 m they are in the aim. These athletes will be medaled with “Top-Finisher”.

1st International KronplatzRUN & KronplatzBIKE

The 1st International KronplatzRUN & KronplatzBIKE is taking place in Bruneck / Brunico on 18th and 19th September 2010. The distance is 30 km long and has a height differential of about 1.490 metres.

The athletes start on the Rathausplatz in Brunico, to S. Lorenzo di Sebato, S. Maria di Sares to the Furkel Pass. Finally they overcross the aim on the top of the Kronplatz.

On Saturday, 18th September 2010 the course is open for the runners, on Sunday for the bikers. There is also the possibility to participate on both races. The starts are on 9.30 am.

Midsummerfestival in Dobbiaco/Toblach

The Midsummerfestival of Toblach takes place on 14th and 15th August 2010.
On Saturday, 14th August 2010 athletes will participate on the 34th “Toblacher Nachtlauf”. They start in the Grand Hotel’s parc and run then to Santa Maria and Valle San Silvestro. After 10 kilometres they will overpass the aim in the centre of Dobbiaco/Toblach.
The next day, on Sunday takes place a great pageant.

Everybody, the inhabitants and guests of Dobbiaco, can pass a weekend full of events and emotions.
