Severe cold, snow and wind instead of first signs of spring

We write the 11th March 2010, only a few days left til beginning of spring, but the temperature in the Dolomites are still low. Spring is still far away.

The picture on the left side shows the sky above Villabassa yesterday afternoon, the right one shows the sky today. Between the clouds we can see the blue sky.
